THE IRISH SHOWS ASSOCIATION PRESENTS THE ECTOFLY EWE LAMB ALL IRELAND CHAMPIONSHIPS

Sheep - Opening Notes

Running order for Sheep Classes - Pedigrees, Other Pedigrees, Farmers Ram, Brood Crossbred, Commercial Crossbred,Supreme Champion, Young Handler & Junior Young Shepard/Shepardess.

Sheep Section Notes

  • Purebred Champion and Reserve Champion in each Purebred Section
  • Overall Brood Crossbred Champion and Reserve Champion - Classes 80 - 86.
  • Overall Commercial Champion and Reserve Champion - Classes 90 - 93.
  • Cup and Rosettes for the above Championships
  • Michael Kinsella Perpetual Trophy will be awarded to the overall Supreme Pedigree Champion.
  • Please Note - All sheep entered must be identified individually with appropriate ear tags and  accompanied by all completed Dispatch Documentation
  • Sheep are to be penned at 10.30 am for a prompt start at 11 am.
  • Due to health and safety, up to three rings may be run at the one time.
  • All number's must be collected from Secretary's Tent and displayed when showing sheep.
  • Sheep Dispatch Dockets to be left in at Secretary's Tent
  • All cups to be presented on the day.
  • The Committee of Carnew Agricultural Show may decide to replace Prize money with Vouchers/Products to the equivalent value.
  • Sheep CANNOT be entered in more than one Class except Young Handler class.
  • ALL SHEEP in Crossbred Classes must have docked tail.
  • All male lambs in Crossbred class 93 must be castrated.
  • Judges decision is final.

Sheep Championship Notes

THERE WILL BE A CHAMPION JUDGED IN EACH PUREBRED SECTION AT THE SHOW. ONLY FIRST AND SECOND PRIZE WINNERS IN EACH CLASS MAY ENTER. CHAMPION CUP AND ROSETTES GIVEN TO ALL CLASSES WHERE APPLICABLE.                                                                  

Only 1st and 2nd Prize Winners in each class may enter in breed championship.                                                                        

BROOD CROSSBRED CHAMPION AND RESERVE CHAMPION CUP AND ROSETTES:                                                                         

Only 1st Prize Winners in Brood Crossbred Section may enter i.e. Classes 80 to 86 inclusive                                                         

COMMERCIAL CROSSBRED CHAMPION AND RESERVE CHAMPION CUP AND ROSETTES:                                                             

Only 1st Prize Winners in Commercial Crossbred Section may enter i.e. Classes 90 to 93 inclusive.

MICHAEL KINSELLA PERPETUAL TROPHY WILL BE AWARDED TO THE OVERALL SUPREME PEDIGREE CHAMPION.

Cheviot - Opening Notes

If a qualified exhibitor does not turn up to an ISA final without giving prior notice to the ISA office or to a board member he or she will incur a financial penalty.

Running order for Sheep Classes - Pedigrees, Other Pedigrees, Farmers Ram, Brood Crossbred, Commercial Crossbred, Heaviest Sheep, Supreme Champion & Young Handler.

RULES AND CONDITIONS

1. Entry is confined to a pair of Ewe Lambs, which will be judged as a pair.

2. All classes are open to pedigree and non-pedigree flocks.

3. A competitor may enter two pairs of  Cheviot Ewe Lambs from his or her flock.

4. Entries to be made direct to the Secretary of the appropriate show.

Entry Fee: €10 per pair of  Cheviot Ewe Lambs.

Prize Fund - Champion Pair: 1st Prize: 5ltr Ectofly, (€125) 2nd Prize: 5ltr Ectofly, 3rd Prize: 2.5ltr Ectofly, (€75) 4th Prize: 2.5ltr Ectofly.

No entries permitted on day of event.
